Following the reset of the testnet, you will have 24 hours to set up your node.
In order to test our staking mechanisms, you will undertake various tasks to test Klever Chain.
Validators will engage in various activities to help inform the Klever community etc.
Klever testnet is a series of competitive challenges where validators can learn, prepare, and earn points in order to prepare for the upcoming mainnet. The testnet will be divided into 4 phases, each testing a different aspect of validating and securing the Klever blockchain network.
Set up the validator environment and get familiar with the Klever network
Complete our validator applications form which shows your intention to run a node.
COMPLETE FORM HERE
Network
100
To complete this task, validators are required to provide information about their validator. In addition to letting the Klever team know your intent to participate, it adds you to any Klever TestNet specific mail lists.
Forms must be filled out accurately. Validators that provide accurate data and join the Klever Discord server will be added to a dedicated Klever Testnet channel. Those who complete the form and confirm access in the validator discord channel will receive full points.
The objective of this task is for validators to complete the steps to setup their node, this includes
Setup your node according to the documentation provided on https://docs.klever.finance/klever-blockchain/how-to-run-a-node
We will check that the address you submitted has produced blocks. Full points if the node is up, running and producing blocks when it is your validators turn
The objective of this task is for validators to demonstrate they have monitoring enabled. The validators are free to use any monitoring of their choice but should be detailed enough to help monitor the node’s health.
You are free to set up your node monitoring any way you prefer.
You will be judged according to the following criteria
The objective of this task is for validators to share a positive experience around setting up their Klever Testnet node.
A public written post should be made around your experience and shared via social media platforms like Twitter. The post should be detailed enough that others can follow how to create a node.
Will be judged according to the following criteria
Should the post not be clear or to short you may be penalized on points
The objective of this task is for validators to tweet about the Testnet and their participation in the Testnet.
Tweet from your validator Twitter account, must be your Twitter account. The tweet must showcase your participation in Klever Testnet, you must tag @klever_io in your tweet.
Will be judged according to the following criteria
Should the tweet not meet all three points then zero points will be allocated
During each phase, you will earn points by completing network and community tasks. The number of points a validator earns is a measure of the validators readiness.
Phase two of the incentivized testnet is all about the infrastructure and load testing.
After the testnet has been reset, you will have 24 hours to set up your node for Phase 2.
To complete this task, validators are required to reset their nodes in a timely manner within 2 days.
Upon resetting the Testnet, validators must recreate their nodes and resync. In addition, they must get reelected. Validators who restore their previously used wallets will be the first to receive testnet tokens, and they will be able to freeze, self-delegate, and receive the remaining delegations to be elected.
Points will be calculated with on-chain data and with wallet addresses from Phase 1.
Nodes that have elected and successfully validated
The objective of this task is for validators to have reliable nodes and keep above 80% uptime.
The Klever team will create load bursts to test the network during peak loads. Validators that are unable to keep uptime will be jailed at protocol level.
Ensure that your node is able to keep 80% uptime. If the validator has sufficient monitoring on their node with reliable infrastructure this should be relatively easy.
Points will be calculated with on-chain data and with wallet addresses from Phase 1.
Uptime is above 80% and was not jailed. Will receive full points.
The objective of this task is for validators to demonstrate they are able to upgrade with minimal downtime.
During this phase the Klever technical team will provide upgrade steps. The upgrade is expected to happen in a timely manner with minimal downtime.
Points will be calculated with on-chain data and with wallet addresses from Phase 1.
You will be judged according to the following criteria
Write and publish a 400-6000 word article demonstrating knowledge of Klever technology and about the Klever ecosystem, offerings, products and how it all fits together.
Write your article and publish it on a public platform of your choosing: personal blog, Medium, Discourse, Ghost, newsletter, etc. Share this article via twitter and tag Klever_io
Will be judged according to the following criteria
Should the post not be clear or too short you may be penalized on points
The Klever team will provide all validators with technical support on our Discord channel, weekly information updates, and announcements for the start of each phase.

Do not get JAILED
Network

The objective of this task is for validators to have reliable nodes and keep the nodes online without getting jailed.
Directions
Ensure that your node is able to run under stable conditions and not be jailed. If the validator has sufficient monitoring on their node with reliable infrastructure this should be relatively easy.
Due to testnet being a learning space we will allow for 1 jail. Will receive full points for 0 or 1 jail. This excludes jails from any network consensus challenges on testnet
Submission
Points will be calculated with on-chain data and with wallet addresses from phase 1.
Delegate KLV Tokens to at least two other validators
Network
200
The objective of this task is for validators to learn how to delegate from a wallet.
Directions
During this phase you need to use some testnet KLV to delegate to other validators. The amount of KLV can vary. We however expect several delegations to test staking dynamics.
You will be judged according to the following criteria
Submission
Points will be calculated with on-chain data and with wallet addresses from phase 1.
Claim Node Rewards

The objective of this task is for validators to learn how to claim node rewards.
You will be judged according to the following criteria
Submission
Points will be calculated with on-chain data and with wallet addresses from phase 1.
Validators are encouraged to rally in the community, spread the word, and get as many validators as possible involved in the battle.
Growing together we are stronger.
