What is Maker (MKR)?

A Maker token (MKR) is a governance token for the MakerDAO and Maker Protocol – a software platform, a decentralized organization that uses the Ethereum blockchain to issue and manage a DAI stablecoin.

Maker was first conceived in 2015 and launched in December 2017. Its task is to manage DAI, a community-managed decentralized cryptocurrency with a soft peg to the US dollar.

Tokens of Maker Protocol are used as voting shares by the organization that oversees DAI; they are not dividend-paying but do give their holders a say in Maker Protocol development, and are expected to appreciate in value with the advancement of DAI itself.

Maker is one of the first projects on the decentralized finance (DeFi) scene: a sector that seeks to build decentralized financial products using blockchains equipped with smart contracts, such as Ethereum.

Klever Swap

Klever Swap is a core service of the Klever app that makes it simpler, faster, and more convenient for our users to exchange cryptocurrencies at the click of a button. By monitoring live price action on top-tier exchanges, our native Swap engine creates a price index that is used by the Swap.

The swap itself is conducted by fully autonomous bots, built and maintained in-house by Klever’s developers’ team. These bots continuously seek the best exchange rate and prices among the top exchanges, and then execute the Swap with high precision, security and speed. The Klever Swap project is part of Klever Exchange.
