What Is MyNeighborAlice (ALICE)?

This play-to-earn builder game is based on Chromia and features farm-themed gameplay. In addition to making new friends, players will be able to buy and own virtual islands, collect interesting items, and assemble exciting builds. Each player will have their own avatar in the game, which they can customize as they desire. A player can either buy virtual property from Alice, the game’s central character or through the internal marketplace. A player’s land purchases are represented as NFTs.

In addition to targeting a diverse gaming community within the traditional gaming market, My Neighbor Alice introduces blockchain to millions of players. In spite of the fact that the game is blockchain-based and integrates DeFi features, there is no requirement for prior knowledge of cryptocurrency or blockchain. This game is inspired by a variety of popular sources. Similarly, daily in-game tasks and social aspects are influenced by Animal Crossing, whereas Minecraft is used to model building mechanics. The artwork was influenced by the Swedish children’s book Pettson and Findus.

MyNeighborAlice Founders: Who Are They?

Antler Interactive, a Swedish interactive mobile games studio, developed My Neighbor Alice. Formerly known as SVRVIVE Studios, Antler Interactive has released titles like SVRVIVE: The Deus Helix, Kartong – Death by Cardboard, Krystal Kart AR, Krystopia: A Puzzle Journey, Krystopia, and Nova’s Journey. ChromaWay, the company behind Chromia’s blockchain, acquired Antler Interactive in 2019.

Since its inception, the game has garnered $2.1 million in funding from VC firms including Coin98 Ventures and Kyros Ventures.

Exactly what makes MyNeighborAlice unique?

My Neighbor Alice aims to distinguish itself in two ways. The first feature of this game is its unique style, which incorporates Alice as a relatable “in-game friend.” This makes the game more palatable to casual players who are not familiar with classic blockchain gaming features. The game allows players to explore classic DeFi functionality without being forced to interact with the underlying blockchain technology.

The game offers many activities that appeal to a broad demographic, including women. There are six virtual islands in the game:

  • Snowflake Island
  • Medieval Rest
  • Nature’s Rest
  • Lummestad
  • Sandy Coast
  • Submerged Island

These islands have virtual land that players can buy using NFT tokens, and they can decorate them with items like houses, lakes, decorations, animals, and plants. In-game items are available for customization of players’ avatars. All of those can be traded on the marketplace or on other blockchains.

The swap itself is conducted by fully autonomous bots, built and maintained in-house by Klever’s developers’ team. These bots continuously seek the best exchange rate and prices among the top exchanges, and then execute the Swap with high precision, security and speed. The Klever Swap project is part of Klever Exchange.
